I would like to thank all of my classmates and professors throughout my time at Jinan University. I truly enjoyed working and learning with everyone during the program.  From class events, to informal lunches and group project meetings, the SiMBA program at Jinan University was filled with a phenomenal group of people that always made my family and I feel so welcome during our time living in Guangzhou and China.  

I found the curriculum to be very rewarding with a variety of core business courses like economics, marketing, and organizational behavior, paired with other more advanced topic like consulting management and business negotiation courses. All of the professors did a great job of providing their expertise to the students which enriched the learning process. As part of the program, we were also able to complete a Project Based Learning (PBL) course which allowed us to gain practical experience by researching an actual business issue at a local company, ultimately presenting our results to their company leadership and getting real-world, hands-on experience. The PBL course allowed us to apply all of our newly acquired knowledge in a practical way and was an excellent way to see our learning come to life with a real business.  As a foreign student, the idea of attending a university in another country can be intimidating, but the MBA Center staff provide exceptional support throughout the course of the program-from application and registration all the way through to graduation.  Whenever I had a question about a process or administrative requirement, they were always extremely helpful, making the experience much easier as a foreign student.  

Finally, the classmates I had as part of the SiMBA program are what truly made my time at Jinan University unforgettable.  I learned so much about China by being able to study with these amazing people.  They were from all over China, providing their unique insight and perspective to all of our different course and projects.  Additionally, their diverse work experience prior to joining the SiMBA working as accountants or in marketing, for example, provided an array of talents and knowledge that helped by learning every day.  We worked on numerous group projects and papers, allowing everyone to become friends and grow closer as class.  However, it wasn’t only work.  We also did a number of class activities outside the classroom, including sports, karaoke, barbecues, group meals, and so much more. All of these events made our group closer and helped relieve some stress from the daily grind.  

I’ll never forget my time at Jinan University thanks to the excellent courses, professors, and staff along with my wonderful classmates.  The Jinan University SiMBA is an excellent choice to get a solid business management education while also gaining unique international perspective and experience!
